Conflict is normal and inevitable, but maturity is not assured even by a long life. How a person responds to the circumstances or environment in an appropriate manner is an indication of maturity. Disputes or expressions of temper, rage or wrath are counter-productive and cause problems with the achievement of life-goals, and may even cancel many of the hopes and dreams for the future. An eruption of anger is evidence that the person has not fully developed the ability to handle hurt in a mature manner. It doesn't mean the person is bad; they need assistance to deal with past hurts. This is where problem-solving skills enter the process to produce a calm and satisfying life.
