As Maurice jumped out of bed and moved to get dressed to the banging of the cops' knock, Kayla stomped the gas peddle to the metal and took off on screeching tires. She contemplated driving to Harlem, the very borough where the rubber soles of Chef pounded the pavement as he ran from the scene of a murder. Meanwhile, Keith's girlfriend is killed during the shootout in their home. He took off running from the scene only to be pulled over by a cop who also ends up dead. It is truly a busy hour for cops in New York City's five boroughs. Strangers to one another, four of the fugitives head to the Port Authority Bus Station and board a bus heading to Atlanta, Georgia. They later pick up Keith in Washington, D.C. As they travel the long road heading south, the fugitives become associated during bus stops and smoke breaks. The obstacle they now face is how they are going to survive.
