Leesa Harker is from Belfast and studied English Language and Literature at the Open University. She has been a bank manager, car mechanic, perfume spritzer in Debenhams and animal welfare person with the USPCA. She has been writing poems and stories since she was a child. Her first book Fifty Shades of Red White and Blue (published in September 2012) became an immediate bestseller across Northern Ireland, and the stage play of the book opened at the MAC theatre in Belfast in January 2013. The second installment in the Maggie Muff Trilogy, Dirty Dancing in le Shebeen, was published in November 2012.
