Construction is a core activity of many technology sectors and a core task in the training for technical professions. The author describes the importance of construction systematics with special focus on the metal and machine engineering sector and traces thought and action processes on which these processes are based. The third revised and extended edition introduces new and good practise construction-specific training and lesson procedures with detailed teaching material, as well as didactic approaches for construction-oriented vocational learning. The topic "designing" was added as a new study emphasis. The volume, which focuses on "constructing" during training for high-tech-specific professions, discusses didactic and methodological approaches, while promoting autonomous learning.
