Samika Jain , a Class XII student of Delhi Public School, R.K.Puram, New Delhi, decided to write 'Through my looking glass' as an account of her personal experiences and relates it to a more generalised theme. Written from the perspective of a teenager, while some like 'Welcome back to the stone age', 'The age old philosophy..' are introspective , the others are from some small yet significant episodes in her life.
"Therefore, stress is not necessarily the evil it is made out to be, its positivity is clandestine but present none the less."
"I experienced the mixed emotions every teacher goes through; the worry and nervousness of whether or not the young students understand my instructions, whether my expectations are too high...."
Samika is a Bharatanatyam dancer with a deep interest in music and writing. Her articles have been published in various local and on-line newsletters. This collection of short accounts is her first published book.
