After graduating as a herbalist with first class honors from The University of Westminster, Paula Grainger ran a busy and successful practice in Central London and set up the Lemon Balm Apothecary and Clinic. Lemon Balm quickly became a hub for all things herbal and it was here that, along with a team of other herbalists and complementary health professionals, Paula provided consultations, classes and herbs to clients from all over London and the UK.
In 2011 Paula moved with her family to Santa Cruz, California. There she works with individuals providing wellness consultations and sharing her experience and love of herbs in tailored classes for people who wish to learn more about how herbs can improve health, bring peace of mind and encourage natural beauty.
Paula is a member of the 150-year-old National Institute of Herbalists in the UK and follows their programme of continued professional development. Plants are her passion, and her excitement at how they can work with our bodies for maximum health and vitality only increases as she travels on her journey as a herbalist. She is the author of several books and magazine articles, and blogs frequently as The English Herbalist. Karen Sullivan is a highly regarded journalist, qualified nutritionist and bestselling author of many health and nutrition books for adults and children, including Natural Healthcare for Children, Organic Living in 10 Simple Lessons and Vitamins and Minerals: An Illustrated Guide. She is a nutritional consultant to many high-profile authors and lectures widely on women´s health issues. |
