Zack wants a goldfish but his parents sayhe isn't old enough to care for one and instead give the goldfish to his older brother Chet. When Zack sneaks down to feed the goldfish, Chet catches him at it, and shouts so loudly that the terrified goldfish leaps out of its bowl and flies through the kitchen window. The family searches and Zack finds it in a water-filled half-watermelon on top of the garbage bin Dad left open and calls it a 'Stinky Goldfish.' Chet shouts and the goldfish leaps again, this time in the direction of Toby-the-dog's fresh doodoo. Can Zack save it from a truly smelly ending?
This is a story about a younger sibling asserting, and proving, his competence.
