A humorous peaceful animal fable set in a friendly African savannah One blazing hot day, thirsty Frog takes a sip from a little puddle. It tastes so good that he drinks the next puddle and the next. The other animals on the savannah are not amused by Frog´s thirst and try to get him to give back the precious water on which their lives depend. Lion tries to scratch Frog. A tropical picture book based on an old African folktale about a frog who drinks all the water, leaving the other animals with drought. All animals invent a trick to recover the water, and the eel is the one to succeed, by tickling the frog. Frog bursts out laughing, spitting all the water out again. South African artist Piet Grobler has created an African savanna with tremendously sparkling animals. His finely detailed pen- and-ink watercolours are soft yet striking. The story is full of jokes yet meaningful; eventually Frog is allowed to remain in the animal society.
