Five years ago, Emily Belden started a blog--Total E-bag--that detailed a one-of-a-kind experience at famed Chicago restaurant Alinea. That post morphed into her first nonfiction book--Eightysixed: A Memoir about Unforgettable Men, Mistakes, and Meals (which is currently in development with 44 Blue Productions as a television scripted comedy series) --and a new job: the lead food writer at VODA Magazine. With VODA, Emily chronicled the flavor, ambiance, and décor in hospitality's best, from Michelin-starred to holes-in-the-wall. Emily was also featured on the Today Show and Dr. Oz after tiling her bedroom floor with 60,000 pennies and becoming a leader in the handmade movement. A Chicago native, Emily is hard at work on her next novel.
