These volumes include poems that range from examples of his satirical and political verse, to a telling expression of his philosophy of nature, and probably the important statement of his poetic objectives.
This ongoing Clarendon edition of Clare's poetry... will come to be seen as one of the greatest editions of the twentieth century.
