The aims and contents of the special volume is to facilitate an exchange of information on best practices for Photonics Materials and Devices, Optical Materials and Devices, NEMS/MEMS Materials and Devices, Electronic Materials and Instruments, Modeling, Simulation and Applications, etc. It will provide a chance for engineers and scientists in academia, industry, and government to address the most innovative research and development including technical challenges, social and economic issues, and to discuss their ideas, results, work in progress and experience on all aspects of Optical, Electronic Materials and Applications.
