In Central Africa, Ado is a young boy who is about to begin the journey of a lifetime. His heritage plays heavily on his heart and provides the framework for Ado and his family to follow. A large Brahma bull named Peco appears to be the angel whom God has sent to Ado for companionship, guidance, and comfort throughout the long and tedious journey that Ado is destined to make.
Along the way, Ado witnesses miracles that could only be explained by the stories that his father once told his village around the blazing fire serving as the gathering place. Ado will find strength that no young man could possess, courage to complete the task ahead, and enduring faith that there must be some kind of help for his dying village. A helper who overcomes all the challenges that his small village must conquer. A helper who was thought to live on the great mountain that glows at night.
Once Ado comes to the end of his original journey, finding the source of his faith and hope, he carries the good news back to his home village and family. Knowing he has completed the task that had been requested of him in his younger years, Ado begins a life that is much different from the life of his father.
As Ado continues to grow and mature, his dearest friend and companion, Peco, completes his days here on earth. Although his original journey was complete, Ado cannot seem to find peace and rest in his spirit. Once again, without question, Ado begins to plan for yet another long journey back to the land far away. With his trusted Brahma bull gone, Ado finds it much harder to make plans for a journey with endless dangers.
Ado then begins to understand the meaning and purpose of his journey. He reveals the final story, the sacrifice that was made long ago as a gift to all mankind.
