Taras Shevchenko is an outstanding Ukrainian poet, prose writer, playwright, artist, political and public figure. T. Shevchenko began to write poetry in the second half of the 30-ies. In 1840, his first collection of poetry, Kobzar, was published in St. Petersburg. The poem "A stormy wind, a century with you ..." for the Russian edition of the "Kobzar" by Taras Shevchenko (1861) was translated by Nikolai Berg.
