Her name was Jael. She was given that name by her grandmother. The name was taken from the ancient tales passed down from the generations. These were never written down, for no one of them could read or write. They heard the stories again and again until they were memorized and then they spoke them to their own children and grandchildren until they could speak them. She lived alone; a mysterious lady in a mystical haven, until the day that the warrior appeared. His injuries were grave, but she was able to bring him back. His parting words to her were, "If ever you have a need my lady, send for me." And so she would begin a dangerous journey that would bring her face to face with a world she had never experienced and she would find that her powers extended beyond the tranquil boundaries of the haven.
