Mark Folk is a writer, wilderness guide, and spiritual mentor whose work lives at the intersection of faith, formation, and lived experience. For more than twenty-five years, he has guided men on rivers, trails, and spiritual paths, helping them slow down, listen, and recover a life rooted in presence rather than performance. He is the founder of New Wilderness Adventures, where he and his team train men to become Guides equipped to lead others through seasons of uncertainty, risk, and calling. His debut book, Soul Weathered, is a 52-week devotional exploring desire, surrender, endurance, joy, wilderness, and prayer, shaped by decades of personal journals, ministry, marriage, and fatherhood. Mark writes with honesty and restraint, inviting men into a slower journey that values obedience and inner formation over striving. He lives with his wife and family, continuing to write, guide, and mentor others through wilderness and spiritual formation.
