A contemporary novel set in North America. Where the "demons," a spirit life-form inhabiting an "otherworld," co-exists with our own. Not to be confused with devil-demons, these invisible demons interact with humans simply to keep an eye on earthly matters (after all they live here too)! As the world's current global crisis develops, the demons send out a special research team to embody themselves as humans to study the "situation." At the end of the mission, the demon team discovers that one their own had failed to return and so they must go back to the world of the "visies" (their term for humanity) to try to find him. Along the way they must deal with a pair of inept bank robbers, a stand-up comic with a knack for getting into trouble, and a private militia gearing up for the end of the world.
